I have a wii 4.3e and softmod with letterbomd. Im trying to load a USB loader and am getting erro rev = -1029. Can anyone help as Im new to this - thanks I hope you've done a NAND backup thats the very first job you do before you try to install anything else? Then you install PriiLoader 0.7 (Which USB Loader are you trying to use? What are you doing installing to bring up this 1029 error? All USB Loaders use cIOS249 have you installed that with MMM? I'll do the back up and SD card prepare and if all else fails, Well you haven't followed a trusted turorial have you?
As part of the softmod install you must do all 3 options: 1. Install Homebrew.
2, Install BootMii. Prepare SD card - which makes the bootmii folder on the SD card so you can do a NAND backup from the BootMii menu else you wil get a black screen. The NAND backup is the very first job you do after softmodding.
What is your Wii system version? I'm assuming your 4.3 because you've posted in the 4.3 mod so you should have used LetterBomb to softmod your Wii. Hi friend.I'm trying to softmob my Wii 4.3E. I've been through the tutorials. I am still facing problem!! While I deleted the saved game (Lego I.
Jones) - when I click on SD (WII) nothing can be found so called PWNS. For info my SD Card is a 4Gb. I copied the PWNS which I downloaded to the SD - I performed as it should be.
While I enter the Art Room, I click on the stagerring etc.???? Now the problem ARISE My WII console os freezed completely, mentioning SD Card Not Detected. And the last line reads.HANGING. Respected brother, kindly help so that I can solve that problem Thank you loads. While I deleted the saved game (Lego I. Jones) - when I click on SD (WII) nothing can be found so called PWNS. Now the problem ARISE My WII console os freezed completely, mentioning SD Card Not Detected. And the last line reads.HANGING. Well if you copied the Indiana Pwns (to the SD card correctly then you click on Wii Options bottom left. Then Data Management then Save Data then Wii. Then you click on the SD Card tab and select the Wii version your using and copy to the Wii.
Then when you run Lego Indiana Jones you load the saved game. Then go to the room with the carousel and as you've said. When I am in the Artroom, the left character on the podium, it's the two silhouettes stagerred with an arrow pointing between them. Without this saved game the softmod won't start.
By the way if you softmodding a 4.3 then the easiest way is using LetterBomb (I have a friend thats come to visit for the weekend and I softmodded hers a few months ago with Indiana Pwns. She has brought up her next door neighbours black 4.2E Wii for a softmod. I enabled the WiFi connection and updated it to 4.3E and I've just softmodded it with LetterBomb. It takes about 20 minutes by the time I had done the NAND backup which tales the longest time.
I just got to get the USB Loader GX installed and setup now. For info my SD Card is a 4Gb. I'm very sorry I forgot to mension. To softmod a Wii you need a 2GB SD card not SDHC which version 4.0+ can use thats probably why it can't read the SD card. After its softmodded you can use a 4GB SDHC card. It must be formatted FAT32 and 32bit clusters. Now I've never had a problem formatting the SD card with Windows.
Some people have and they have to use a special formater that Digital Kaos - Downloads - sd card formatter (Update: I softmodded my friends black now 4.3E Wii and installed all 3 USB Loaders and updated those and everything works so she will be happy. I formatted my 2GB SD card in Windows and it worked perfectly as it does everytime. But has anyone else experienced any problems similair using letterbomb, and in your experiences is modmi a better option? I've had no problem softmodding a 4.3 with LetterBomb I did one last weekend. I don't see why you can't play original discs after softmodding? If it was softmodded in the correct order I can't see how the kids could have effed it up. To play backup games with NeoGamma you need a Wii with a suitable DVD drive fitted as the newer ones 2009+ won't.
Other than that you play backup games with the USB Loaders after you install the original disc to the HDD. ModMii (is a good option to try. I've only used ModMii to update any wads using the sysCheck.csv (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/syscheck-v2-1-0-beta-11-1918/). I'm not sure I understand what your saying. You softmodded 2 Wii's and you couldn't play burnt games on one and you couldn't play original games on the other. Then you updated to 4.3 and used LetterBomb now these burnt games won't play? Now your saying i will update when i get the wii back. You could try a CD-Rom lense cleaner in case its dirty dusty. Have you tried configuring it to use USB loaders? Please don't mix up 2 Wii softmods it gets confusing which one does what?

What i was trying to explain was, i had 2 wii's both playing original games and unmodded, i updated both wii's to 4.3 and installed letterbomb and softmodded both, they were both working and playing burnt games so i gave them back, now apparently one of them won't play burnt games and the other will but won't play original discs. I am waiting for them back to see if anything has been erased by accident and to find out what is the problem, when i have i will update if it helps anybody. Just got the wii back with problem, it still plays back ups fine but the problem is when the girl trys to play ABBA you can dance its giving a message saying if there is any illegal software installed it will be erased, has anyone heard of this or has a solution? Thanks P.S plays all other original games fine.

I've never heard of a game saying if there is any illegal software installed it will be erased. I'm assuming you have PriiLoader 0.7 (installed? Is this ABBA game on a burnt disc or HDD?
Thanks for the reply, i don't have priloader installed, the ABBA games is an original game shop bought. You mean you softmodded a wii for someone.
Didn't instal priiloader. You should think yourself lucky they haven't been sent back bricked. What system menu did you put on the wii. If it was any less than 4.3 then abba will be trying to system update. Install 4.3 and priiloader and select priiloader to block disc and online updates. You may not have to instal 4.3 but you will have to install priiloader whatever else you do. Got secondhand wii today and hopefully will be able to softmod it. Total novice and some terminology is getting me down.
Also found loads of helpful guides but I'm finding that some guides have shortfalls. I found one and thought great will use this one, easy to use not too technical (dumbed down) got to 2nd part: softmodding part and the link to the download for the software wouldn't work so I attempted to use the separate components instead of the package (the bad link one). And I just couldn't get wii mod v2.9 to load. It said in the guide it would start itself but it didn't. So I searched again and found this. Thought I'd brick it instead of the wii bricking it lol.:laugh.
I purchased a Wii at Costco in Dec/2011 so that I could also play my Gamecube games as has been advertised by Nintendo. I found that the new ver 4.3U Wii does not allow Gamecube games to be played on the new Wii platform. I am miffed so I will try to softmod my Wii with the app hackmii0.8IPSSBB2 which is supposed to be on the digital-kaos website. If your thinking of playing gamecube backups from dvd-r then this will not work for you because the newer wii's have a chip that stops the use of dvd-r backups so your proberbly wasting your time. I would like to know how to properly unlock Wii 4.3 E.
I have already installed the homebrew, but I can not do anything else when trying to install usb loader asks cios222. Or screen goes black!
Can anyone help? I tried to install the wad manager and wii command blocks. I think the ideal is to return to the beginning? Make a reset? If its softmodded then its already unlocked you should need to re-softmod it. I hope you softmodded it correctly using all 3 options which include Prepare SD card for a NAND backup?
USB Loaders need IOS236 (to be installed with Multi-Mod Manager 13.4 (All USB Loaders need d2x this is the latest. D2x v8.0 Final (There is also Full Cios wad pack (if the lower IOS numbers are missing, 202, 222, 223 and 224. You could do a sysCheck (as instructed just to make use no other wads are missing. :stoned: I tried to install ios 250 mm with the wii but the blocks. I have just ios58? I have spent hours and hours on it and nothing!
In the zx spectrum was everything easier! I'm not sure what you mean by wii but the blocks? IOS58 is installed as standard on a 4.3 system.
Please post a a sysCheck (as instructed so we can see what is missing? The ZX Spectrum is nothing like a Wii, grow up. First of you need to unstall IOS236 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/ios236-v54321-wad-1946/). Can anyone tell how I can make DVD's with games and how to make them work on nintendo wii 4.3u I depends when you Wii was built.
Do a sysCheck (and look what it says under Drive date: 2008.07.14 Mine won't play burnt games it shows a DVD read error 1167. 2009+ drives won't play burnt games. You would play these game discs with NeoGamma R9 (You would burn the games to disc with ImgBurn (its free. You will need good quality DVD's something like Verbatim DVD+R. To me burning games to disc isn't worth it for the extra cost plus you have to find somewhere to store these hundreds of games. Hi guys i followed this to the dot but keep getting dvd read error i no its not my backup disks because i have another wii thats softmoded i have also checked the seriel number on the site and it says qoute There is a 100% chance the chipset is Combined GC2-D3 with no drive chip so does that mean it will be able to read backup disks Same here. Its supposed to work but its still not reading disks.
My retail Mario P9 disk broke so I tried burning a backup on 4x dvd-R on both Nero/imgburn. Here's some more info: The Wii has a RVL-001(USA) model number and is produced for Mexico/Canada/USA. The copyright year is 2006. Yes it's pretty old lol. There is a 100% chance the chipset is GC2-D2C (v1) A friend accidentally updated to 4.3u so I'm not sure if that is the problem. My other older Wii works fine (4.1u) but my cousin took it to another country so I'm trying with this one.
Its softmodded 'Wilbranded' with Nand, Priiloader on IOS 236. I've also tried combinations on IOS36, 56, 249, 250 but no avail. With Neogamma it tells me the model/type of game and everything. Then the screen flashes green and black for a sec and the disk is still making the reading noises but then it stops and gives me something like 'The game cannot read the disk-see instructions manual' (Note that it has the game disk's custom fonts so it did read something but can't start) At first it was Neogamma giving me an error with the disk but now I got to that point.
^ I'm currently messing with the settings but still nothing. I'm considering applying 'DarkCorps' but I hear its pretty dangerous and may be even more so on a 4.3u. Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated if I can get the disk running.:). Welcome to DK. Well all the USB Loaders are available if you Google them. USB Loader GX (the IOS249 package.
WiiFlow (CFG USB Loader (Before they will work you need to install all the necessary wads. To find if you have the correct wads installed you would need to post a full sysCheck (as instructed in that link. Welcome to DK. Sorry for the double post but i have followed this guide and come stuck at installing the wads i can get the mmm open and the wads are there but when i try to install them non of them do any help much appreciated When you open MMM then select WAD Manager it defaults to the wad folder on the SD card. If you press 'A' it will show you a list of all wads in that folder you press 'A' again to install them all, watch for the installed ok message after each one.
Or in the wad folder if you scoll down the wads and press the + button that will put a green tick next to that wad name. If you press 'A' that will install that wad only, again wait for the Installed ok message.
Don't don't know which wads you need to install so post a sysCheck (as instructed in that link so we can see which IOS's are already installed as you need to install IOS236 before any others. I'll tell you how to get IOS236 after I see your sysCheck. Oops so youv'e updated to 4.3 and you want to remod your wii or mod it for the first time then follow this tut for 4.3e/u great news there is no need for a game exploit anymore just get your hack from here Introducing: LetterBomb (the letter from heaven) (then follow this tut from after homebrew channel install.

Pirating intellectual property is not the same as violating a company's terms of service. The former has a chance of landing you in jail, the latter could at most result in a civil suit with a fine (in the USA anyway).
Piracy goes directly against the forum rules. Violating a TOS does not.
Luckily this greatly simplifies what you as a poster needs to remember about piracy and this forum. Piracy is simply theft. Don't talk about stealing something, whether you've done it, or are going to do it. Talking about violating a company's TOS with your legally obtained equipment and software does not violate this rule.
